Dr. John Botti was appointed The Browning School’s sixth Head of School on July 1, 2016. John has devoted his professional career to promoting academic excellence and strong character.

 

Prior to joining Browning, John taught Humanities at Landon School in Bethesda, MD. He held the Paul Landon Banfield Chair in Ethics from 2009-2014 and was appointed Associate Headmaster in 2011. 

 

He earned an M.Ed from the University of Virginia in 2005 and completed his Ph.D. in the history of education from the University of Maryland in 2014.
